After a more quiet start to the day we headed to the rink for Connor's next game. This afternoon we were drawn to meet the Southern Knights from New Zealand.
It was a really good game. It took a little longer to score than yesterday but it still happened within the first couple of minutes. The team played really well and the lead was soon extended.
Connor combined really well with his team mate, Christian, to score his second goal of the tournament. They both had multiple shots on goal before Connor was finally able to push it in. He was so excited as he has now scored as many goals as the team Captain, Marcel, scored in the whole Friendship Games Tournament in Wisconscin, 2011.
With the score out to 13 to nil at the end of the second period the teams switched some players and coaching staff. All of the kids kept playing hard and seemed to have a lot of fun. It will be another tough day tomorrow though with two games - the first against Japan and the second against the hosts, Aldergrove, Canada.
