After our outing, Glen and Sue kindly dropped us off at the hotel around 6pm. We grabbed some warm clothes and headed to the rink. We bought our tickets to tonights Junior B Game between the Aldergrove Kodiaks and the Richmond Sockeyes and then went next door for a quick hot chocolate. Tonights game is full checking hockey for players aged between 16 and 19 years. Jan was very proud as his 16 year old nephew is an affiliate for the Kodiaks. The players were so fast. They would easily out skate our Adrenaline players. While we really enjoyed the game, watching it up close to the plexi...so much so you could feel the hits, unfortunately we did not bring good luck for the Kodiaks. At the final buzzer the home team went down 7 to 2. Luckily this was only Game 1 of their 7 games playoff series so we'll keep our fingers crossed they cans till turn it around.
