After a little down time in the hotel we found that we had a couple of messages from the Winklers. They had suggested that they would wait in the hotel lobby between 6:30 and 6:45 if we wanted to catch up and go out for dinner together. We got ourselves ready and headed down to the lobby.
We headed up their Glen and Sue's room so they could put things away and for a quick catch up before setting off in search of dinner. Cassie was desperate to try Planet Hollywood on Times Square. When we got there we found that they had slightly moved locations but had recently refurbished the restaurant. Thankfully we had a choice of food other than just burgers. In typically America style the food servings were rather large. None of the adults could face dessert, that didn't stop Connor, Ryan and Josh though. Ryan and Josh had a rather large chocolate brownie, while Connor' chocolate cake was enough to feed a small army.
We had a lovely time, especially hearing about each other's adventures since finishing Friendship Games in Vancouver. Although the boys wanted to visit Toys R Us after dinner, Ryan was feeling very unwell at dinner (didn't eat, white as a ghost, and feeling hot inside but cold and clammy outside). We made the call to head back to the hotel as we are sure we will get plenty of other opportunities to visit Toys R Us when Ryan is feeling better. Instead we walked back to the hotel admiring the amazing night lights of New York.
